Who is this course for?

This course is designed to provide child care settings such as Nurseries, Child Minders, Playgroups and Schools with approved Paediatric (12 hour) First Aiders.  The course meets the requirements for both Ofsted and EYFS. There is also a 6 hour course, please contact us for details & to enquire about group booking discounts.

On completion of the course students will receive a nationally accredited qualification certificate valid for 3 years issued by EFA Training approved by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) or on request prior to the course starting an Ofqual Level 3 QCF award issued by Ofqual organisation Qualsafe awards.  

The course meets the requirements for both the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) and Ofqual Level 3 (RQF) requirements. You can choose which certificate/qualification you require prior to the course start date.  If you are unsure which you need please call the office for advice.

Control of Bleeding Caring for Children who Suddenly Become Unwell

First Aid Kits Foreign Bodies in Eyes, Ears and Noses

Heart Attacks Health & Safety Guidance
Recovery Position Heat Exhaustion
Resuscitation/CPR Heat Stroke
Safety Hypothermia
Seizures/Fitting Illness Assessments
Shock Meningitis and Sickle Cell

Unconsciousness Records of Accidents and Incidents

The HSE strongly recommends that all First Aiders attend annual refresher training. This is a three hour course. Please contact us for course dates and venues. Remember we can also come and train at your premises at a date of your choice.
